These are some of the more exotic problems I have run into. These will generally entail a trip to see me to repair them if possible.

These are record breaking thread snarls. I have had two of them now on identical machines. It is caused when the thread coming from a cone on a thread stand gets snagged in the hand wheel and isn’t noticed. This brought these machines to an absolute standstill and required taking the machine apart completely in order to remove them. They also became large enough to melt the case housing before stopping the machine.

Rusty parts can occur here with our sea air as well if the machine is stored for a long period of time. This usually means the rusty parts have to be replaced.
