Lint Problems

Lint in the bobbin case area or tensions can cause a great deal of problems with sewing. This is very easy to fix at home. Just remove the bobbin case and brush it out or use tweezers to remove.

With drop in bobbin assemblies such as Janome, don’t be afraid to remove the needle plate and take the bobbin case out. There can be a large amount of lint down there. While you have that off, make sure to clean the lint packed into the feed dogs. This often gets missed and can play havoc with the feed of the fabric.
